The Engine Skid Plate complements the winch bumper 1039, providing additional protection for sensitive components. Crafted from solid, stainless steel that is precisely laser-cut and accurately bent, this protective plate effectively prevents damage to the lower front of the vehicle from hidden obstacles on the trail, such as rocks in the sand or tree stumps in dense vegetation. Depending on the model and year of the G-Class, the Engine Skid Plate is a sensible option or a “must-have” as an alternative mounting location for the standard oil cooler, whose space is occupied by the winch.
